Painting Tip

When I paint with latex paint, the brush always wicks up so much paint into the bristles and the handle that it takes forever to wash out and wastes a ton of paint. In order to avoid this, wet the brush, and shake it out before painting so it is damp. Great tip and makes a HUGE difference!

Mother's Day

Embellishing Hand Sanitizer

I came across this cute idea while perusing the Internet recently. What a great idea! You could go with any theme, and think creatively. Maybe make one that matches a new baby's nursery. You could make one for a relative in a nursing home, as a teacher gift, and for your family doctor or pediatrician's office. Vets, dentists, church nurseries...the possibilities are endless. What a cute idea!

Plantable Paper

Alpha Mom has a really great tutorial for plantable paper. This would be a great idea to use as gift tags or name cards for table settings. But I think I'm going to make some to use as thank-you cards. What a fun project! My 2-year-old would love helping me with this one.

Wish I would have found this sooner!

Since I'm literally days away from delivering our sweet baby boy, these links aren't very useful. But I wanted to dogear this for any of you expectant moms out there or for my (potential) future pregnancies. Very cool.
