A Little Help for Our Feathered Friends

We've really been enjoying watching the birds gather nest-building supplies in our yard this season. We decided to lend a helping hand and add a little of our own flair. We gathered any dead grasses, small branches, etc. from the yard that looked like good, helpful nest-building items, and we threw in some leftover yarn from the stash. With all of the colors, it will be fun walking around the neighborhood admiring the nests. This was a fun, easy, and time-consuming educational project for my almost 3-year-old.

Babyfood Tip

So many easy finger foods are too slippery for tiny fingers to maneuver. So, when you're wanting to feed things like diced avocado, banana, peaches, pears, etc., I found a really easy solution. Just take a handful of Cheerios or a graham cracker or two, and crush them in a Ziploc bag. Throw in your slippery diced foods, and shake them until they're coated. The Cheerio/graham cracker dust makes them much easier to handle. And these graham cracker-coated bananas tasted just like banana pudding. Yum!
